In order to make this traditional ball a truly exclusive event, the following dress code will be enforced with no exceptions for admission into the HOFBURG:

Please note: We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone not wearing appropriate clothing.
The security personnel as well as the official „Marshal of the court" are ordered to enforce the clothing etiquette throughout the night and have the right to relegate someone off premises.
In case of a „small emergency“, you will be able to purchase a black bow tie at the reception area of the Hofburg for EUR 20,--.
